SCHOOL mission
The mission of Lone Star Language Academy is to provide our students with an innovative inquiry-based learning experience that fosters critical thinking skills, language acquisition, and intercultural competence.
Lone Star Language Academy is a public tuition-free charter school funded by the state of Texas. The school began operating in the fall of 2017 serving students in grades K-3 and has provided a close-knit learning environment for students in the north Texas area ever since.
For the upcoming 2020-2021 school year, Lone Star Language Academy will serve up to 300 students in grades K-5. In order to ensure the long-term financial and academic success of the school, the school board of managers has recently entered into a partnership with Imagine Schools, a national non-profit charter management organization with a track record of success in Texas, and has begun the process of planning for the implementation of the world-renowned International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme for students in grades K-5.
Lone Star Language Academy prides itself on the diversity of its students with a population comprised of 12% Hispanic/Latino students, 14% African American students, 31% White students, 41% Asian students, and 2% Multi-Racial students.
The school is housed in a modern and beautiful 17,000 square foot building conveniently located near the intersection of the Dallas North Tollway and State Highway 121, making it easily accessible to families.
