school lunch

Students can either bring their lunch with them from home or order lunch from Moses Specialty Kitchen.  We have Early Release on Wednesdays, so lunches are only needed on Wednesdays if students are staying for After-School Care.

Moses Specialty Kitchen: Please place your order in your student's name to aid distribution. Also, if your student is absent on any day you order lunch, you must contact Moses Specialty Kitchen directly.

Lunches brought from home should be nutritious and preferably not contain any Foods of Minimal Nutritional Value
(FMNV), which include:

  • Any carbonated beverage (even those with added vitamins, minerals, or protein)

  • Frozen sweetened water, such as popsicles (except those made with fruit or fruit juice)

  • Gum, and/or any processed foods made predominantly from sweeteners or artificial sweeteners such as hard candy,

  • jellies and gums, marshmallow candies, fondant, licorice, spun candy, candy-coated popcorn, etc.

Food For Distribution To Students:  In consideration of students with food sensitivities, no food items of any kind should be sent from home to school at any time for distribution to other students in a classroom or during the school day (including wait times). Any food items sent from home for this purpose will not be distributed and will be returned home.

Birthdays:  Student birthdays will be recognized and celebrated as each teacher/grade level team sees fit for their classrooms. If students wish to pass out invitations to private birthday parties while at school, they may do so only if the entire class receives an
invitation. Food items may not be distributed to other students in a classroom or during the school day.

Food Delivery:  In order to minimize traffic to the school lobby area for safety reasons, parents may not order food for delivery to the school.
