Dr. Julia Brady
Central Administration Officer
Julia has been with Imagine Schools since 2007 as founder of the Imagine International Academy of North Texas, closely overseeing all aspects of the school's development and performance to date. She holds a B.A. in Sociocultural Anthropology & Economics, a graduate certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership & Organization from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a doctorate in Education Leadership & Innovation from Arizona State University.
Special Programs Director
Angela holds a B.A. in Communication Studies from Southwestern University, an M.Ed in Educational Administration from Lamar University, and TX state certification in Special Education (EC-12), English as a Second Language (EC-12), Generalist (4-8), and Mathematics (4-8). She oversees implementation of Special Education, 504, and Dyslexia services, as well as administration and analysis of academic performance tools including STAAR Texas state testing, STAR Renaissance computer adaptive assessments, and quarterly data chats.
Primary Years Progamme Director
Jill comes to Lone Star Language Academy with over eight years of experience implementing the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. She was a founding Grade 4 teacher at the Imagine International Academy of North Texas, where she was named Teacher of the Year twice. After six years with Imagine, she helped lay the foundation for the IB Primary Years Programme in Frisco ISD, where she was recognized for her contributions. Jill holds a B.A. in Communication Arts from Austin College, and graduate work in Elementary Education from Augsburg College, as well as TX state certification as Generalist (EC-6). We are thrilled that she is bringing her expertise in implementation of the IB Primary Years Programme to LSLA.
Primary Years Programme Coordinator
Julie has worked with elementary students in grades K-5 for the past fifteen years, and been named Elementary Teacher of the Year previously. Before joining the Lone Star Language Academy team, she was the Primary Years Programme English Language Lead for the Imagine International Academy of North Texas, where she also taught Grade 3 students. Julie holds a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Texas, an M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Arlington, and TX state certification as Generalist (EC-4 and EC-6), Gifted and Talented, English as a Second Language (EC-12), and Texas Reading Specialist. Her experience supporting teachers with the IB Primary Years Programme is invaluable.
Receptionist & Medical Assistant
Sharon is looking forward to introducing new families to Lone Star Language Academy. She has been with Imagine Schools since 2012 as the school registrar for the Imagine International Academy of North Texas, and will be supporting Lone Star Language Academy with onboarding new students and families.
Natalie holds a B.A in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas, and TX state certification as Generalist (EC-4) and English as a Second Language (EC-4). She has twelve years of experience teaching students in grades K-5, and taught the IB PYP at the Imagine International Academy of North Texas for four years.
Krissia has also been with Lone Star Language Academy (LSLA) since it first opened, and has been a wonderful resource for all LSLA students and families since 2017. We are very pleased to share that she plans to continue with the Imagine team as we move into the next phase of growing the LSLA community.
Briana holds a B.S. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin at Green Bay. She loves working with young children and previously worked with students with special needs and as an Outreach Director. She holds PK-6 and Special Education Program Aide certification.
Sarah holds a B.A. in Religion from Furman University and Texas state certification in Core Subjects (EC-6), Science (4-8), and English as a Second Language (EC-6). She has previously worked with K-5 elementary students in a private school setting, as well as at Richardson ISD and Plano ISD.
Elisabeth holds a B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of North Texas, certification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, and is highly qualified in EC-6 and English as a Second Language. She brings a wealth of international experience with her, having taught in Korea, India, and the Philippines, and most recently, with Dallas ISD.
Stephanie De Simone
Kate holds a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from West Texas A&M University and TX state certification in Elementary Reading (1-8), Elementary Self-Contained (1-8), and English as a Second Language (1-8). She has over seven years of experience teaching and working with young children, and previously taught Grade 2 students for four years.
Stephanie holds a B.A. in Social Sciences and an M.A. in Sociology from the University of North Texas, and is completing an M.Ed in Counseling & Development with Lamar University. She is also highly qualified for TX Generalist (EC-6) and 4-8 Social Studies. She has worked with students since 2009 and is fluent in Greek and Portuguese.
Kristi holds a B.A. in History & Sociology from Texas A&M University and TX state certification in Elementary Self-Contained (1-8) and Elementary History (1-8). She began working with elementary students in 1992 and has experience working with both public and private schools. She enjoys creating an active learning environment for her students.
Teresa holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Dakota, and TX state certification in Core Subjects (EC-6) and English as a Second Language (EC-6). She has been teaching in various capacities since 2017 and most recently, taught Kindergarten and Grade 4 students for the past two years.
Jasmine Cordova Guzman
Jasmine holds a B.S. in Education from West Texas A&M University, TX state certification in Core Subjects (EC-6), and is highly qualified for English as a Second Language (EC-6). She enjoys working with children, and was most recently a Grade 2 ELAR Bilingual teacher where she supported students with reading, writing, and grammar skills.
Mason holds a B.A. in History and Political Science from Sam Houston State University, and TX state certification in Core Subjects (4-8). He enjoys teaching Social Studies and most recently taught students in the Dallas Independent School District, where he also worked with English Language Learners and students with special needs.
Mandi holds a B.A in Communication and an M.A. in EC-6 Education from Austin College, as well as TX state certification as Generalist (EC-6) and English as a Second Language (EC-6). She previously taught with Plano ISD and Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, working with students in grades K-5.
Rachel holds a B.S. in Public Health Promotion and an M.A. in Art Therapy and Counseling from Marylhurst University. She has worked with children and young adults since 2005, and enjoys teaching about personal health and wellness. She has been a rock climbing instructor since 2016 and is also fluent in Spanish.
Spanish & Music
Hebrew & Music
Eduardo has been teaching Spanish since 2002 to both children and adults. More recently, he taught Spanish with Fluency Kids and with Enriched Schools, as well as with KIPP Academy in Dallas. He is originally from Venezuela, and holds a B.A. in Law from Fermín Toro University, and certification from José María Vargas University.
Susan holds a B.F.A. in Studio Art from Michigan State University and has been teaching art to children for over 20 years at the elementary K-5 level. She enjoys developing creative art lessons for students based on nature, recycling, and the outdoors, as well as incorporating popular children's media with classroom activities.
Anat holds a B.A. in Hebrew Literature & Educational Policy and Organization, as well as teaching certification from Tel-Aviv University. She has over 25 years of experience teaching children in both Israel and the United States. She has been with Lone Star Language Academy since its inception, and we are thrilled that she is continuing with us.
Shelley holds a B.A. in Education from Governor's State University and TX state certification in Social Studies (7-12), Art (EC-12), and Special Education (EC-12). She has worked with special needs students for the past four years, and most recently, was a Special Education teacher at the Imagine International Academy of North Texas.
Jill holds a B.S. in Child and Family Development from the University of North Texas, TX state certification in Elementary Education (1-8), Special Education (EC-12), and is finalizing her training as an Academic Language Therapist with the Scottish Rite Take Flight program.
